Leghorns are the most well known breed. Leghorns are fair layers that lay 280 a year on average and can exceed 300 eggs in one year. The most notable variety of Leghorn has white feathers, Yellow skin, bright red Combs and Wattles and white eggs.

Leghorns come in many varieties, American White, English White,old type and modern type are all variations of this breed.
